About Us
Kappa Kappa Gamma enhances the college experience for every member through the bonds of friendship, intellectual development, and an allegiance to ethical principles. Founded as a women’s fraternity at Monmouth College in 1870, the Zeta Nu chapter at University of California, San Diego provides an unforgettable college experience through a number of opportunities and events.
Our chapter encourages members to seek personal and intellectual growth both inside and outside of Kappa Kappa Gamma. While serving in a leadership position on Chapter Council is very special to us, members of our chapter are also involved in all aspects of campus life here at UCSD. As women of integrity, you can find members of Zeta Nu involved in almost any aspect of student life: from honor societies to athletics to research assistants to Resident Advisors to student government and everything in between. You can also find sisters of Kappa Kappa Gamma participating in Inter-Sorority sports and supporting fellow Greek chapters at their respective philanthropy events throughout the school year.
Additionally, the Zeta Nu chapter places a high importance on the philanthropy of Kappa Kappa Gamma. Through our national philanthropy, Mental Health and Well-Being, members of our chapter are actively involved in philanthropic events for NEDA (National Eating Disorders Association). Our main philanthropy event of the year is called Kappa Kapture the Flag. This event is where we involve all members of the Sorority and Fraternity Life on campus by hosting a kapture the flag tourament with food vendors, games and fun activities like tarot card readings.
While Zeta Nu stresses the importance of social responsibility and philanthropic service as integral to membership in our chapter, we are an extremely diverse group of intelligent and motivated collegiate women. Our shared values and love for Kappa Kappa Gamma is what makes our chapter a true “home away from home” and a genuine support system for all members.
